for the first time, i realize that many people have different views about this.. some people believe that all should partake, others don't believe that there should be a memorial.. some are going to the hall, others are having their own celebrations still others are just going to be doing normal activities.. how do you think the memorial should be celebrated?
how are you going to spend it?.
This will be the second time for me not attending. My wife will be going to make her mom happy. But she wont be attending the one she's assigned to...has to get up early for work.
I don't care how people celebrate their religious ceremonies anymore. They could cut open a live pig and smear the blood and intestines all over their body for all I care.

I felt the same way. I was born in and baptized at 13 and left at 27. Some of us wake up faster than others. I wish I could have those years I wasted back but I wouldn't change the outcome, where I am now. Now, my kids will have the upbringing that I never had...Bdays, holidays ect.

Don't burn any bridges you can't rebuild with your family. Fu#K the rest of the borg drones. My mom and sister have told me it will be different now that I have left but I didn't get DF'd or DA'd. I faded and am learning not to go into details about how I now feel with them. Unless you don't care about hurting your relationships with the family, I would recommend fizzling out. If you go out with a bang you will just look like one of those "crazy" apostates you spoke of. Good luck.

My wife called me at work today and told me that her mom saw another ghost and is freaked out. So she called the elders and asked them to come over and do some kind of “exorcism.” So about 40 minutes ago they came to her house to do their voodoo…
the husband just gave me the new march km (im using it folded up as a coaster at the moment) and a new "blood card" to complete, along with a copy of a set of instructions for how to fill it out and a letter from wts to every baptised publisher.
i said to him "i wont be needing that" and gave it back to him, and he just said, well just throw it out then - no overreaction yay :o) without telling him, about a month ago, (i tore up my existing no blood directive.
our kids have never carried around "identity cards" we were never that diligent about it).
I tore up my blood card about 2 weeks into my search of what I later learned was TTATT. I had a blood transfusion that saved my life when I was born no thanks to my mom who signed documents refusing me to get the life saving transfusion. Luckily my nonJW dad told the docs or nurses to lose the documents.
It was quite liberating tearing that piece of shit document up.
